This toilet works on a composting system with everything that's put in eventually breaking down, or decomposing, and being returned to the land.
Underneath the toilet there is a large barrel that holds all the shit, with a few layers of mulch and of course some used toilet paper.
When you go to the toilet for a No 2 you only need to cover what you leave with the mulch provided, not too much, just enough to cover it.
The next person then does the same and it all builds up and in a compost system!
